Experience one of Brisbane’s treasured bushland reserves at the magical twilight hour. Discover what makes this precious area special and learn more about our magnificent forest and its plants and animals as we explore the 2.5km Rocks Track. Don’t miss this fun family-friendly opportunity for a guided bushwalk with a difference. Moderate fitness required, this track has some climbs and steps.


This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, please email us at KFDC@brisbane.qld.gov.au

Cost: Free.

Age: Strictly for ages10 years and over. All children must be supervised by an adult booked into the event.

Required arrival and check-in time: 15 minutes before event starts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:

  • Maximum 5 tickets per booking. Places are limited, please do not over-book.
  • A ratio of 1 adult supervising a maximum of 4 children is required.
  • All adults and children must have a ticket.

CANCELLATIONS: If you cannot attend, please cancel promptly via Eventbrite, so others can book a spot.

REQUIREMENTS ON THE DAY:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to check in with staff. Walks start at the advertised time.
  • 1:4 adult to child ratio required.
  • Moderate fitness required, this track has some climbs and steps.
  • Wear secure, fully enclosed, comfortable walking shoes.
  • Bring a small hand-held torch (no headlamps), water, and insect repellent.
  • Lightweight long pants and long sleeves recommended.
  • Raincoat and hat if required.
  • Please do not leave early. If you need to leave the walk early due to an emergency, please inform our guides.

Meeting point: Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre. Free carparking and public toilets next to the centre.
