TRANSending Borders: spotlight on America 'In Conversation' event

Victorian Pride CentreSt Kilda, VIC
Tuesday, Mar 3 from 2 pm to 3:45 pm AEDT
Overview

Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ communities Joe Ball will lead a cross border talk about resilience and hope in trans communities.

This special "In Conversation" event invites you to step beyond the global lines for an afternoon of authentic connection, moving from the weight of global politics toward a shared sense of hope and collective action.

We are thrilled to welcome international speaker and community leader from Trans Lifeline, a US-based organisation dedicated to trans survival and flourishing. Drawing on years of experience at the frontlines of peer support and crisis care, they will share vital insights into how communities remain resilient and continue to deliver essential care even under intense pressure. To ensure this conversation resonates at home, the afternoon also features Sasja Sÿdek from Trans Sisters United, bringing essential trans femme perspectives and local Victorian expertise to the stage.

Leading this powerhouse dialogue is the Joe Ball, Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities, who will bridge the gap between grassroots community action and institutional advocacy. Together, these leaders will explore how we can learn from one another across borders to uphold human rights and foster joy. Join us for an afternoon grounded in lived experience, resilience, and the enduring power of trans-led solidarity.
