Providers of housing and homelessness services often work with people who have experienced trauma. A key component of this work can involve hearing their stories and exposing our workforce to vicarious trauma.

Psychologist, Tere Vaka will introduce participants to vicarious trauma, so they better understand the impact it has on our workforce, how to recognise it, and importantly how we can protect ourselves from its most serious impacts.

Tere has worked for over 25 years, providing psychological care to people impacted by trauma. Tere works regularly with frontline workers from many health and social service industries and has extensive knowledge and experience to develop your understanding of vicarious trauma.
