Towards Zero Waste Events - Glenbrook
We’re inviting event organisers to a training session on how to use Council's events waste trailer.
Blue Mountains City Council is aiming to make all Blue Mountains events zero waste, by introducing a reuse system for serving ware at events, e.g. markets. For this project, funded with an EPA grant, we’re creating an events trailer that will have washable cups, cutlery and dishes for food vendors to use. Following an introductory period run by Council, the trailer will be available for event organisers to hire from Council.
We’re inviting event organisers who might be interested in booking the trailer to a series of training sessions on how to use the wash system and understand the workflow that needs to be followed for food safety.
We are holding multiple timed sessions across three different dates at the following Markets:
- Sunday 8 March at Blackheath Growers Markets,
- Saturday 21 March at Glenbrook Rotary Markets, and
- Sunday 22 March at Springwood Growers Markets.
The 30 minute sessions have a maximum of six participants each and run:
- 10.30am - 11.00am
- 11.00am - 11.30am
- 11.30am - 12.00pm
- 12.00pm - 12.30pm
Please note: This event listing is for sessions at Glenbrook Rotary Markets, 10.30am - 12.30pm Saturday 21 March. For other sessions please see Blackheath or Springwood.
