TOURISM26 is an afternoon industry event bringing together tourism operators, businesses and stakeholders from across the Central Queensland Highlands to connect, learn and share insights on the future of the region’s visitor economy.

Held on Wednesday 2 December 2026, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, at The Mayfair Tavern, Emerald, TOURISM26 provides a platform for regional businesses to hear from engaging and informative presenters, connect with peers, and gain a better understanding of the factors shaping tourism.

The event will explore the economic, social and environmental influences on the visitor experience, while sharing stories and examples of regions and businesses aligning with Destination 2045 and building stronger, more capable tourism enterprises.

TOURISM26 also offers valuable networking opportunities, helping businesses build relationships with industry peers, key stakeholders and influencers, while increasing awareness of future workforce development opportunities across the region.
