Tour the Old Tram Barn and State Herbarium
Description
The heritage-listed Tram Barn A was once part of a sprawling complex housing the Adelaide tram fleet. Now the State Herbarium, it houses over one million plant specimens instead. Join this FREE guided tour to see cultural and natural history in one place and learn about the Herbarium’s role in plant science, conservation and management.
The State Herbarium is located on Hackney Road, alongside the red-bricked Goodman Building on Adelaide Botanic Garden's eastern edge. This is a free guided tour, but bookings are required as spots are limited.
This tour is part of South Australia's History Festival (1-31 May 2017). For the full list of Botanic Gardens of South Australia and State Herbarium events, visit our What's On page.
