This workshop guides you through the steps for managing social media, cloud accounts and digital assets in preparation or response to death
Our lives don't just exist in physical spaces, but also online. Social media profiles, cloud storage, digital photos, subscriptions and shared documents form part of our legacy and digital footprint. What happens to these accounts when someone dies? And how can we prepare for the digital traces that we will leave behind?
In this workshop you will be guided through the practical steps for managing social media, cloud accounts and digital assets in preparation or response to death.
This event runs in conjunction with Dearly Departed: death in life, State Library's exhibition exploring mortality through history, art and personal stories. Attendees are encouraged to explore the exhibition before or after the activation to engage more deeply with its themes and artworks.
This event forms part of Dearly Departed: death in life and engages with themes of death, dying, grief and remembrance. This event may contain photographs, videos and recordings of people who have since passed, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
