Quercus Trio, whose debut album "Australian Horn Trios" was released by ABC Classic to critical acclaim in 2023, perform a mixture of old and new works for horn trio, including a world premiere of Alan Holley's "This Time of Light," a performance of Elena Kats-Chernin’s Velvet Revolution for horn trio, Sculthorpe's own arrange of "Night Song" for horn trio and the evocative Quatre Pieces for horn violin and piano by romantic french composer Charles Koechlin. The program also features a performance of London-based Australian composer Luke Style's "A Shot at the Stars" for solo horn and the forgotten quartet by Federation era Australian composer F.S.
