Now that we’re all allowed to go to venues again, These Guy have decided to revive their olden- day habit of throwing an impromptu party for the release of some new music. This time around, they celebrate new coronavirus mini-album, These Guy House, and they would love you to please come.These Guy House is all about being stuck at home and having extra time on your hands to appreciate the little trinkets and things you have lying around. Blankets, souvenirs, looking out the window and noticing what the birds are doing, or the colour of the sky at this particular moment. House’s songs took their shape through a process of psychedelic, ultra-restrictionist free trade between These Guy business associates Joe Saxby and Josh Coxon. These two guys lost their day jobs because of coronavirus, so they joined heads via both Zoom and text message to pump out a casual pop music record, which combines a sense of numb homeliness with colourful synth landscapes and a schlump of unhinged lyrical excursions. This release party extravaganza will be hosted at Black Bear Lodge, on Saturday, 8th August. These Guy will unveil live translations of much of the new record, while also playing some old hits and engaging in general friendly chatting between songs.Joining Theezus will be the rising dream-pop talent Pipin, whose recent single ‘Can’t Be Friends’ has been arresting people all over the Internet.
