“Where your focus goes, energy flows. Where energy flows, whatever you’re focusing on grows”
Whether you choose to focus on them or not, organisational values always exist. The real question is, are they intentional, accidental or hypocritical? Organisational values reflect the things that matter most, serving as guideposts for decision-making and action, as well as the day-to-day behaviour of employees.
In the past, values have often been considered core to an organisation’s cultural DNA and therefore immutable and ‘off limits’ to change. We see this view shifting, as the nature of change itself changes, proving as disruptive as it is pervasive. As organisations rethink their competitive positioning, strategies and business models in response to turbulent times, they are also increasingly needing to relook at their values, appreciating that ‘what got us here might not get us there’. But how is this work best approached?
In this practical, hands on Supernova event, we will focus on:
Why (and when) reactivating at your organisational values may be necessary
How to design an approach to reactivating your organisational values that both honours the past and creates forward momentum
Practical ideas for ways to promote understanding and ownership of organisational values at every level
You will also have the opportunity to learn from the collective wisdom in the room, as we welcome a number of guests from a range of organisations who have or are currently in the process of reactivating their organisational values.
As this is our final Supernova event for 2016, we also look forward to celebrating the year that has been, spreading the Christmas cheer and hearing your wish list for our 2017 Supernova series, launching early next year.
