About this event

Mind has established this new annual event to honour the late Anthony Stratford’s immense contribution to the lived experience movement.

Lived experience leadership and transformative systems change in the mental health and social sectors is the subject of Mind Australia’s inaugural The Stratford Lecture.

Ellie Hodges, a nationally recognised thought leader and founder of South Australia’s peak consumer organisation LELAN will be the guest speaker at the live event to be held on Wednesday 27 March at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne.

The event will also feature Mind Australia CEO Gill Callister and Mind’s Executive Director Lived Experience Katie Larsen and an audience Q&A session.

The recipient of the inaugural The Stratford Scholarship will also be announced.

The lecture event will be followed by refreshments and a chance to meet new people.

Is there parking?

There is no parking at the venue. QV Melbourne Shopping Centre opposite has parking.

Are seats allocated?

Seating is not allocated. We encourage you to arrive early to get your seats, doors open at 5pm. We do have some space at the front allocated for wheelchair access.

Is there a calm room?

Yes, we have re-arranged the green room to be a calm room for those who need a moment of space, it is located behind the stage, signage will be visible on the night.
