The Record: Australian Music Centre Edit-a-thon

Wikimedia Australia and the Australia Council for the Arts present 'The Record - Australian Music on Wikipedia', a new initiative that aims to grow the low number of Wikipedia articles about Australian musicians, organisations and publications over the next six months.

In partnership with the Australian Music Centre, meet online and learn to edit the Wikipedia pages of your favourite artists as part of our edit-a-thon.

Wikipedia is one of the most popular websites in the world written by an international community of volunteer editors. When you search something online, Wikipedia is often the top result, with information boxes on Google sourced from its pages.

Guest speaker Kirsty Rivers from the Australia Council for the Arts will open the event, and training will be provided by Wikimedia Australia.
