Description

Inspired by the recent ‘turn to listening’ in media studies, cultural studies and political theory, this two-day interdisciplinary academic conference brings together scholars whose work engages with listening: as a political practice; as a critical frame; as an alternative politics; as a contribution to justice and/or as an ethics of relation.

The conference includes a number of public sessions which do not require registration:

29 November Thursday morning Opening Keynote and Plenary session

30 November Friday morning Keynote and Plenary session

Book and journal launch Thursday 29 November 5 for 5.30pm

Opening of Other Registers Wednesday 28 November 5pm
