Description:
The Pelvic Foot is a two-day, in-person training exploring the dynamic relationship between the foot, ankle, knee, and pelvis.
Designed for Pilates teachers, yoga instructors and movement educators, this immersive training will equip you with practical evidence based assessment tools and targeted exercise strategies to improve lower limb function, alignment, and movement efficiency.
You will develop a deeper understanding of how foot structure and evolution influence modern movement patterns and how restoring optimal foot function can positively impact pelvic mobility and control. Through a blend of theory, observation, and hands-on practice, you will learn to recognise individual movement strategies and apply interventions that support more resilient, adaptable lower-body mechanics.
You will learn to:
- Understand the evolutionary and functional development of the human foot and its role in whole-body movement
- Improve pelvic movement and reduce restriction by optimising foot function
- Explore the nuances of knee alignment, including the advantages and limitations of presentations such as knee valgus
- Assess your client’s unique foot profile and identify restrictions that may influence knee and hip function
- Apply practical exercise progressions to support more efficient foot, knee, and pelvic mechanics
- Expand your ability to work with clients who struggle with knee and hip discomfort in class
You’ll gain:
- A professional certificate recognised through the NPCP - 15 CPD points
- A training manual with illustrations, references, and teaching tips to compliment what you learn in class
- An exercise PDF of assessments and exercises for future reference after the workshop
