Biography for Ludo Campbell-Reid

Sought out by Mayors, Cities and Governments, Ludo Campbell-Reid is a globally renowned urban design thought-leader, city planning expert and international keynote speaker. He has over 24 years of experience working on large-scale city transformation projects and is an internationally respected commentator who appears regularly in the media and trade press.

Ludo was appointed Auckland’s first ever Design Champion in and he is now also the General Manager of Auckland Council’s Auckland Design Office (ADO). Ludo is accountable for achieving design excellence in council’s plans, policies and projects; working alongside the private sector and community to deliver exemplary design outcomes and promoting the council’s design-led city agenda across the organisation, the wider Auckland community and internationally.

Biography for Phil Bull

Phil is the CEO and one of the founding Directors for multi-disciplinary consultancy Blue Barn, which was first established in 2008. Driven by a desire to make a difference in the world, Phil began studying engineering before embarking on a successful career within the industry both in NZ and abroad.

Phil has built his company on a number of core values and ethos, the biggest of which being “people matter”. Whilst he applies the “people matter” mantra in all aspects of company, he has never forgotten the reason he became an engineer in the first place: to help people. From undertaking projects such as drought relief in India, to reconstruction after the Samoa tsunami to emergency response after the Christchurch earthquake, Phil has kept true to his values and his reason for becoming an Engineer.
