will speak on

'Genodermatoses - Where Genomics Meets Dermatology' presented by Professor Ingrid Winship.

at the Inaugural McCallum Founders Lecture in Dermatology.


The McCallum Founder’s Lecture in Dermatology has been established by Professor Richard McCallum to honour his father, the late Dr Norman ‘Norm’ McCallum. Dr McCallum contributed greatly to his profession in his role as teacher, mentor, clinician and researcher.

Dr McCallum was the only Queensland foundation member of the Australasian College of Dermatology.

Throughout his career Dr McCallum also contributed through his clinical practices in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Bundaberg, fostering the spirit of collaboration amongst professionals in the discipline of dermatology.

Professor Ingrid Winship

Professor Ingrid Winship is the Executive Director of Research for Melbourne Health and the Chair of Adult Clinical Genetics at The University of Melbourne.

She is both a dermatologist and a clinical geneticist. Initially establishing comprehensive genetic services in New Zealand, she now has a leading role in genetics for adults in Victoria.

Her work includes gene discovery and clinical research, service development and translational research, developing new models of genetic services especially for adult patients. Her area of special interest is the skin signs of familial cancer.

She is a member of the Australian Health Ethics Committee, and served for 6 years until its completion on the NHMRC Human Genetic Advisory Committee. She joined the Board of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2017.
