The Humble Pear Workshop
Overview
Discover the joy of clay in this hands-on creative experience with Ganmain artist, Jody Graham.
Join Jody to explore simple hand-building techniques to build two beautiful ceramic pears.
You will:
- Learn how to make a simple pinch pot
- Acquire basic hand building techniques whilst constructing a simple pear
- Use simple pottery tools in their constructions
- Probably fall in love with the beauty of clay!
- Have fun!
What’s Included
- Enough clay to make 2 pears
- All materials and tools
- 2 firings – a bisque firing and then a glaze firing
- Your choice of glaze from three different glazes
- Delivery of final product to the ArtsHub 3-4 weeks post workshop
- Tea, coffee and treats
You need to bring
An apron and a positive attitude, a sense of fun and get ready to create something truly unique!
Your pears will be glazed and fired by Jody and returned within 3–4 weeks.
The workshop will commence at 1pm and run over 3 hours so be sure to be on time.
This workshop is limited to 10 participants only.
The workshop is for adults.
