Will I get to see the bees and the hives?

We give you a guided talk on the bees inside the hive, and also a look at our tour hives in our production site.

Will I get to go inside the hive?

Unfortunately, getting to go inside the hive is not part of the tour. We will see the hives from a safe distance. For a guided tour inside the hive, where you get to become a beekeeper and meet the queen, please see our Swan Valley Beekeeping Experience and Shadow a Beekeeper Events

Is this tour suitable for children?

Absolutely! A fun, 45-minute tour that includes lots of tastings, learnings and a chance to see a real beehive.

Can I join if I am allergic to bees?

Unfortunately, due to the heightened risk of bee sting, we will be unable to take you on the tour if you are allergic to bees.

A fun 45-minute Private Tour of our shop and tour hives, great for the whole family, or if you are just curious to learn more about bees and honey.

An experience guaranteed to entertain, educate and inspire you with the fascinating world of bees. You'll tour our hives, learn about the colony sample our many honey varieties and for the over 18 take part in a mead (honey alcohol) tasting.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

SEE*: Walk over to the hives and see the different types of ways to keep bees.

ACCESSIBILITY: uneven gravel for this part of the tour.

LEARN: Learn about bees, their roles and who’s in the colony at our Observation Hive

DISCOVER: Taste delicious WA honeys and discover how bees collect and make honey

TASTE: Enjoy a Honey Mead tasting in our Meadery for the adults over 18yrs old.

*Please note, if in the unlikely circumstance there is rain, we will not be able to do this part of the tour. Instead, you will receive a demonstration hive presentation with a look into all the equipment a beekeeper uses. A great photo opportunity!
