The Back to Steiglitz Association will be offering guided tours visiting the heritage buildings and historic sites from the 1850s gold rush, where you can reimagine the past as you walk through the old township listening to stories of a bygone era, with morning or afternoon tea served at the original blacksmith's cottage for participants.
The public historic buildings will be open for viewing throughout the day, and you can enjoy the serenity of our natural flora and fauna as you visit this hidden gem located in the Brisbane Rangers National Park.

Walking Tour - Ambling around the Town
Bookings Required: Meet at the front of the Courthouse 10 minutes before the tour starts to register attendance. A guided tour of the township with loads of stories, steeped in the history of this quaint township, once a bustling town of 3000. An easy walk, but lots of undulating and uneven ground, is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Walking Tour - Uncovering the Secrets of Steiglitz Cemetery
Bookings Required: Meet at the cemetery carpark 10 minutes before the tour starts. Easy walk, uneven ground. A guided tour of the cemetery with stories of those who rest here, a wealth of history to uncover.

Suggs Blacksmith Cottage
A quaint little cottage with loads of rustic charm where tea, coffee, and home-baked goods will be available for purchase all day. Located on Clow Street. All funds raised go towards the maintenance of these historic public buildings.
