The Goblin Queen's Eclectic Art Market Workshops

From Wednesday 31st July to Sunday 4th August the Imaginarium will be transformed into a magical realm of unique arts, crafts, and creative workshops.

Featuring unique art from artists from Firetail Artists Collective and Against the Tide Alternative Artists South Coast, there will be lots to see or buy, as well as a variety of specialty workshops running over the event.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

Thursday 1st August 2pm-3.30pm BEADED BUGS with Sacha - Create a beautiful and ornate beaded bug of your choice to admire or wear as a brooch. Sacha will show you some tips and tricks for combining beading and embroidery to create a truly unique feature piece.

Open to anyone old enough to hold a needle.

Thursday 1st August 4.30pm-6.00pm PATCHWORK WINTERSCAPES with Sacha - Join Sacha for some fun crafting, while exploring the concept of expressing landscapes through patchwork and embroidery techniques. This workshop is open to all skill levels, and will be a fun way to learn some embroidery stitches and beading skills, while making art.

Open to anyone old enough to hold a needle.

Friday 2nd August 12pm-2.00pm CREATIVE CORSAGES with Mandylynne - Create a unique wrist corsage or brooch to wear for special occasions. Mandylynne will show you how she combines colour, texture and special embellishments in her arrangements, as well as the best ways to attach them to give your floral corsage a truly unique touch. Wear them to a ball, race day, or any formal event.

All ages.

Friday 2nd August 4.30pm-6.30pm PAINTING MUSIC with Kylie - Sit, listen, visualise, imagine, and let the music surround you as we paint what we hear through a selection of dramatic, and sometimes scary, classical music pieces. Kylie will guide you through the process and provide you with lots of different techniques, options and examples to help you create your own beautiful and unique abstract art painting based on music.

All ages.

Saturday 3rd August 9.00am-10.30am CREATING MOTION ILLUSIONS - ZOETROPE ANIMATION with Carol - Step back in time and build your very own Zoetrope, a pre- animation device that brings static images to life through the illusion of mesmerising motion.

With a choice of 2 different models (horizontal rotating cylinder or vertical using mirrors) you can create & draw your own image, pattern or design or choose something pre-drawn to build, animate and decorate

All materials are supplied, just bring your old world wonder and artistic creativity and get hands- on crafty to take home a timeless piece of animation history.

Suitable for 12 years and up.

Saturday 3rd August 11am-12.30pm - DIVINE SKIRT CHAOS with Valerie - Jump across to Shellharbour Civic Centre for a fun and lively skirt dancing workshop. Suitable for all levels, Valerie will take you through a series of delightful skirt techniques, cues and formations that will culminate in a divine beginner choreography using the Divine Chaos skirt dialect.

Suitable for all ages and levels of dance experience.

Saturday 3rd August 1.00pm-2.30pm - ECHOES FROM THE FAIRY STORIES with Jessyka - Enter the magical labyrinth with Jessyka and learn 3 of Valenteena Ianni's beautiful and unique Karma Echoes combinations. Have fun portraying them in different archetypes- the Witch, the Princess, the Prince, and the Goblin, play with characterisation, learn some of Jessyka's psychological tips for embodying archetypes, and take home 3 new combos for your own practise

Suitable for beyond beginner level.

Sunday 4th August 9am-2pm - TAROT READINGS with the Mermaid Medium - Pop down to the Imaginarium in Shellharbour Village for a reading with Shellharbours very own Mermaid Medium Sarah.
