Locust Revival is a Post-Goth-Punk-Gaze 3 piece that was conceived in the dank sub-tropical sweat of Brisbane. The EP ‘Your Delusions Are Not Mine’ landed in Cvlt Nations best Post-Punk albums of 2022 list stating “This album makes me want to dance underground with creatures of the night, which is exactly what I want from a darkwave/post-punk record”. Since then Locust Revival released their album 'good grief’ with the title track landing in 4zzz’s Hot 100. The band continue to expand and push the boundaries of their sound beyond the normal realms of dark post-punk music.

Working in the tradition of the great one-man bands, from Benny Dougal to Vic Ellis via the haughty pluck of "Soft" Willy Deagon, Edith Thomas Furey works by combining a variety of sounds generated from acoustic, "real", instruments.
At the same time as Furey works in this most traditional of aural forms, the artist goes further, adding electrically generated, "synthetic", sounds to his "compositions", thereby contributing to the emergence of vibrations that some have described as "music".
A real "stayer" on the Brisbane music scene, Furey has "played" to literally dozens of people at over several venues during the course of between 10 and perhaps even 11 years. At once passionate and plagued by colic, Furey looks forward to another glorious decade, renowned as the type of artist that at least one person has described as a unique combination.
