The Creative Lab: Term 1 2026

The Creative Lab | Term 1 | Thursdays 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Learn how to draw, paint, collage, and create in our new after school art class.

These classes are designed to help your kids stay creative, learn new artistic skills, as well as experiment with different mediums. Express yourself while making friends in our new art making class for kids!

Term Dates: Thursdays, 12 February - 2 April 2026 (8 weeks)

Times: 4pm to 5:30pm

Weekly Program Outline

Week 1 - Welcome to the Creative Lab:

Focusing on exploration and connection.

Week 2 - Lines That Move & Play:

Focusing on expressive drawing.

Week 3 - Colour Explorations:

Focusing on painting and sensory discovery.

Week 4 - Collage & Layers:

Focusing on texture shape and composition.

Week 5 - Mixing Materials:

Focusing on texture and mixed media.

Week 6 - Imaginary Worlds:

Focusing on storytelling through art.

Week 7 - Painting with Wool:

Focusing on imaginative abstract contruction and exploration.

Week 8 - Big Art, Bold Choices:

Focusing on scale, freedom and creative confidence.

Elizabeth's weekly program is a flexible framework that may be adapted in response to the needs, interests and abilities of children attending her workshops.

Please note that parents or guardians must remain on site during all children's workshops.
