Prepare a regular 3-course Indian meal, food enjoyed by the common Indian on any typical day. Get your appetite going with a dish to tingle your taste buds while the main course and dessert are prepared. Practice preparing the meal using the recipe cards provided while savouring a sampler for each course.
Recipe cards will be provided along with pre-prepared ingredients. You will recreate the dishes using the recipes provided under the able guidance of your chef. After the class, you will have the knowhow to be able to quickly prepare delicious meals varying the ingredients using the learnt methods.
We will also give you information on where to buy ingredients from and also the best type of utensils to make your home cooking experience even more authentic.

Appetizer Vegetarian/Vegan: Pani puri aka golgappa in New Delhi and much of northern India and as puchka in the state of Bengal, is a snack comprised of a fried hollow puff filled with spiced potatoes and chickpeas. It's filled with an ice cold spiced herb water and eaten immediately. Time required to prepare and make - 10 minutes.
Mains Vegetarian/Vegan Curry: Daal Tadka - a spiced yellow lentil curry that can be made thick, to be eaten with Indian flatbread (roti/chapati) or slightly thinner when eating with boiled basmati rice. 10-20 minutes cooking time
Mains Vegetarian/Vegan: Jeera Aloo - spiced potato preparation with cummin seeds to be eaten with Indian flatbread (Roti/chapati). 20 minutes cooking time
Mains Non-Vegetarian: Tangdi Kabab - chicken drumsticks marinated in hung curd and a blend of spices. Cooked to perfection on a charcoal barbeque or a pan or air fryer or oven. 10-20 minutes cooking time.
Accompaniments: Basmati rice - long grain everyday basmati rice
Beverages: Nimbu Soda - Fizzy lemonade blended with Indian masalas. The perfect summer accompaniment for your cooked meal that aids as a digestive as well.

We, the host(s), are an Indian couple who have lived in India for over 35 years. We have a hospitality background through a venture in India conducting food tours of traditional eateries in New Delhi. We intend to bring this traditional experience to the shores of Australia, into Australian homes.
Indian food is cooked with a blend of spices which have a varying level of heat and are fundamental to Indian cooking. The heat often makes the food taste mildly spicy. Chilli is optional in the recipe and you can add the same as per your taste and thresholds.
