The Colours of Autumn

Palette Knife Painting Workshop
18 April | 3–5pm

As the season shifts and the air cools, The Colours of Autumn invites you to slow down and respond to nature’s changing palette. This expressive palette knife painting workshop draws inspiration from the rich tones of autumn, rust, ochre, crimson, olive, deep blue, exploring how colour can reflect both the landscape around us and the inner transitions we experience.

Guided by Melbourne-based artist Angelina Mirabito, PhD, this immersive session combines intuitive art-making with the tactile, sculptural technique of palette knife painting. You’ll explore layering, movement, and texture to create depth and warmth in your work, building bold marks that echo the organic rhythms of the season.

This workshop encourages curiosity, experimentation, and personal expression. Leaves fall, light softens, colours deepen, and your painting will evolve in the same way: layered, expressive, and uniquely yours.

Suitable for all experience levels, The Colours of Autumn offers a welcoming, relaxed environment where you can explore seasonal themes through gesture and colour.
