What should I bring?

What can't I bring?

Alcohol.  If bringing a sun shelter or gazebo no pegs allowed in the ground, you will require mandatory leg weights.

What if rain or high heat is forecast?

The picnic will be rescheduled, and you will be notified here, and via email and also on the social media pages.

Can I dress up?

There is no theme for this picnic, but we'd love to see you in your finest picnic or garden party attire.

How does the gifting work?

Bringing a thrifted, handmade or locally made item to the picnic will be a way to create community and conversation, along with supporting local and helping the environment. When you arrive, please place your gift on the allocated table, and when you leave, collect something to take home.

What do I need to provide?

Anything you would bring to a picnic. Food, plates, napkins, drinks (no alcohol), blanket, chairs. Just remember if you're bringing a sunshade, you'll need to weigh it down, no pegs allowed. And of course, don't forget your gift to donate to our gifting table.

Is the picnic child friendly?

Yes! Make sure each person attending has a ticket though, that includes children, toddlers and babies.

Will there be any witchcraft activities?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we aim to have activity areas set up where adults + kids can participate in crafts such as flower crown creation, tarot card making, smoke wand making, scavenger hunts and wand making.  These are just some examples, and activities may change on the day.

Where in Weston Park will the Picnic be?

The picnic will be held on the grass just adjacent to Pescott Lane, and right near the Yaralumla Playstation.

Are there any costs involved?

No, the picnic is a completely free event, however you are welcome to make a donation to our chosen charity via a QR code that will be available at the event.

Will the location be accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a carpark right next to the location and a flat grassland, this will be easily accessible to everyone. There are also bathrooms right near the picnic's location.

What do I do if I can no longer attend the picnic?

Accepted Answer

Please just cancel your ticket through Eventbrite, this allows another person to take your ticket as we need to keep track of those attending the event as part of our insurance cover.
