Everyone has a ‘shame book’ pile by their beds or on their bookshelves. You know the ones? The literary classics and acclaimed new releases you should read but haven’t gotten around to yet. This book club is all about sharing that load and motivating ourselves to reduce all of our TBR piles.

On May 1st, we'll be discussing A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. The novel is a set of thirteen interrelated stories with a large set of characters all connected to Bennie Salazar, a record company executive, and his assistant, Sasha. It's said to be darkly funny, and speaks to the theme of 'time' and 'memory.'
Readers be advised, this book contains descriptions of sexual assault.
