The bell hooks book club
March 13 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Overview
Let’s yap, read, and craft together!
Hey all!
The bell hooks Book Club - Is an empowering book club where we read books authored by and/or featuring powerful female heroines. We're going to dive into the wonderful world of literature with prosecco, snacks and the occasional crafting session.
Whether you're an avid reader or just beginning, this is your space to chat, reflect, and connect with others who also love books. Bring your thoughts, questions, and an open mind. Can't wait to see you for great talks and chill vibes!
This month’s session is "What's the tea? high tea" in celebration of women's history month we're going to honour our favourite misunderstood female "villains"! The villains can be women in literature, film, music and pop culture who were right/misunderstood. ❤. In addition to that we're gonna have a "hear me out cake" with our chosen person.
What to expect:
Our book club sessions are capped at around 12 and run for about an hour, once a month to give everyone the chance to participate and fully get through the content. We also collaboratively donate to charitable organisations that reflect our values.
Join us on the 13th of March for our high tea session! 🍰🍰
What to bring:
- Your own version of the book
- Your own snacks and soda ~ Optional
What's being provided:
- Some light refreshments.
- Guided discussion points
- A cake
Books:
March book-- "Kill for you, kill for me" Steve Cavanagh
Feb book-- "All about Love" Bell Hooks. <3
