Michael Daddo

Michael has more than 25 years’ experience in Australia and Internationally working with companies such as American Express, Kimberly Clark, Nestle, BMW, NAB, ANZ, Medibank Private, Tassal, Industry Super Funds, AustralianSuper and Cbus.

He is a highly respected behaviour change strategist who has worked across government, not-for-profit and corporate sectors to help find new approaches that inspire individuals and communities to adopt new behaviours.

Michael has been involved with and led some of Australia’s most successful social marketing and behaviour change campaigns addressing water saving during the Millennium Drought, Problem Gambling, Worksafe, bushfire preparation activity with FireReady, the Victorian Government’s work on Family Violence with Respect Victoria and This Girl Can with VicHealth.

He has also been integral to the cofounding and co-funding of BehaviourWorks on which he participates on Advisory Board in a rotational capacity.

His career includes stints as Director of Ogilvy & Mather; Founding Managing Director of M&C Saatchi Melbourne and National Partner of M&C Saatchi Australia; and Head of Strategic Marketing at Transurban.

Michael is on the Board of Independence Australia a leading social enterprise, turning over more than $120m from online retailing and provision of care services, where all the profit got to supporting people born with or acquired disability lead independent lives. He is also a Director of a start-up Inclusive Australia and on the Advocacy and Support Committee at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. Previously he has been a director of the Victorian Arts Centre and the Richmond Football Club.
