We are proud to announce that the 2026 AFMS student and early career researcher (ECR) retreat will be held at the University of Melbourne. This two-and-a-half-day event will be hosted at the Parkville campus, and this event will provide a diverse range of perspectives on academic research and industrial collaborations. This event is an opportunity to meet and develop meaningful connections with fellow fluids researchers in our community, in an enjoyable and welcoming environment.

Masterclass tutorials on advanced topics in contemporary fluid dynamics research:

  • Influence of surface roughness in wall bounded turbulence
  • Ensemble Kalman filtering tutorial: from Lorenz attractor to global coupled climate models
  • Gene expression programming and fluid dynamics
