LGAT, TasCOSS & the Tasmanian State Service warmly invite you to attend our cross sector International Women's Day event in Hobart on Friday 6 March 2020.
The Tasplan International Women’s Day Awards for Excellence 2020 will be presented at the Luncheon. The Tasplan International Women’s Day Awards for Excellence are designed to recognise and give visibility to outstanding contributions by women in Local Government, the Tasmanian State Service and the Community Sector.
To nominate yourself or colleague who is making outstanding contributions in the Local Government, Community Service and State Service Sectors please visit www.lgat.tas.gov.au/iwd2020. Nominations must be made by 9am, Monday 17 February 2020.
Guest Speaker
We are pleased to announce this year’s special guest speaker, sponsored by the University of Tasmania, Trisha Squires, CEO of AFL Tasmania (the first female CEO in AFL), Founder of the Broadbridge Fund and 2019 Tasmanian Telstra Business Woman of the year (Medium and Large Business). Trisha is recognised around Australia for her leadership qualities, clear strategic thinking and resilience. She has an impressive breadth and depth of experience across commercial, philanthropic and community roles. In 2006, she was awarded Young Australian of the Year and was former CEO of Reach and the St Kilda Youth Service. Her story is powerful and moving and sure to inspire all who attend.
