Description

The Telstra Global Operations Centre has kindly offered to open their doors to UniMelb students to tour their facility and learn about what happens behind the scenes in running Australia's largest telecommunications network.

As part of this tour you will get to see how Telstra's networks are operated as well as hear about some of their exciting research projects.

As we must enter as a group, a bus will be organised to transport students to and from the facility at a cost of $12 per student. You can also opt to purchase lunch and a drink at an additional cost of $15 per student. Do not purchase the lunch and drink option without also purchasing a bus ticket. Please ensure you can attend before purchasing a ticket as no refunds will be issued.

Registered students are to meet in Tin Can Alley outside The School of Physics (https://goo.gl/maps/Xpj9TPL73pR2) at 12:00pm sharp where you will board the bus and be taken to the Global Operations Centre. We will arrive back at the University of Melbourne at approximately 4pm.

Places are highly limited so book ASAP to avoid missing out.
