Are you interested in capturing the stories of local businesses through your lens?

Join us for an introductory workshop where we'll explore how to engage with traders in the Central Coburg District and capture observational photographs that tell their unique stories.

If you find it challenging to approach strangers or local businesses, this workshop will assist you to understand comfort and consent when taking photos of people.

This workshop will briefly run through camera techniques, lighting and composition.

Artist bio:

Simon Aubor is a Naarm- based freelance videographer, photographer, mentor and artist. Predominantly his work and personal practice engages with community storytelling explored through videography and photography. For the past 3 years Simon has worked extensively within the Central Coburg district. He has captured many stories from locals and the wider trader community for the public photo series, “I Love Coburg”, which was produced in collaboration with Central Coburg Business Associations (CCBA) & Merri-Bek City Council.
