Description

Your child's teenage years include the adventures of secondary school, puberty, and growing independence. As a parent, you play an important part in helping your teen identify their strengths and aspirations, as well as supporting them to make decisions.

This three-part workshop will provide you with information to build your understanding and skills to navigate these years with confidence.

Each workshop consists of three consecutive sessions over three weeks:

  • Monday 13 May 10:00 am
  • Monday 20 May 10:00 am
  • Monday 27 May 10:00 am

One registration covers all three sessions in the series.

All workshops are led by professional facilitators who are parents of young people with disability and who have personal experience in navigating the teenage years.

This workshop looks at:

  • Financial support
  • Getting the right NDIS support for your teen
  • School and post-school options
  • Wellbeing: friendships, communication, behaviour support and good mental health
