Dr Ellie Falatoonitoosi, Lecturer in Project Managment, University of the Sunshine CoastDr Ellie Falatoonitoosi is a Lecturer in Project Management at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Business, bringing a multidisciplinary background across project management, operations management, and supply chain management.Her teaching and research interests include project delivery, digital transformation, emerging technologies, and the application of contemporary tools to improve organisational and project outcomes. She is also the author of the award-winning book Green Supply Chain. Lucas Meadowcroft, Co-CEO, CROFTILucas Meadowcroft is the CEO and co-founder of CROFTI, a Brisbane-based AI consulting, automation and training business working with construction, civil and engineering firms. More than a decade before ChatGPT made AI a boardroom topic, Lucas co-founded Tribu — a machine learning platform built for the IT services industry. Building it took five years and $3.5 million: $1.5 million raised from US investors, and the rest their own money. Tribu onboarded hundreds of customers across ten countries, and the venture took Lucas and Amy, to the United States for the full venture-backed startup run.In the end, Tribu closed. Not because the technology didn't work, but because the industry it was built for wasn't ready to change the way it operated. Lucas talks about that openly — the wins, the losses, the two million dollars of his own money.
