Join us at Subiaco Library on the last Friday of the month to learn something new about technology and online safety.

Join us at Subiaco Library for Tech, Tea and Treats; where you can enjoy a cup of tea and some sweet treats, hear a educational talk about a specific tech related topic each month, then stay after the talk where our friendly staff are available to offer some one-on-one tech help for your mobile phone or tablet.

How to stay smart online

Misinformation is a catch-all term to include any type of manipulated, misleading, deceptive or inaccurate published information. Misinformation can affect public health, elections, disaster responses and individuals.

In this session you will:

  • Think carefully about the information and media you see, especially online
  • Learn to identify and compare different forms of information and media
  • Find out how to verify information and media
  • Learn how social media algorithm and AI work

Join this session for a demonstration of how to use these resources, then stay behind afterwards for some one-on-one assistance to get you started on your mobile phone or tablet.

Getting to the event:

Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. For more information on getting around Subiaco visit the city’s website.
