Tech Help Fridays at Freeling Library
Overview
Are you needing assistance when it comes to using your computer, smartphone or tablet? Do you know someone else that could use some help? Then why not book in to our Tech Friday session for basic technology help at Freeling Library. These sessions are designed to provide help with problems you are having with technology.
What do you need to bring:
- Your own device - laptop, smartphone or tablet - or use one of our public access computers.
- Usernames and passwords for your device and accounts.
- A pen and paper for taking notes.
Some of the things we can help you with are:
- Basic computer skills
- Internet basics
- Email basics
- Windows basics
- Apple Mac OSX basics
- Android phone and tablet basics (e.g. Samsung, sony, htc, zte devices)
- iPhone and iPad basics
- Microsoft office basics
- Understanding your Google account
- Understanding your Microsoft account
- Understanding your AppleID
- How to use Google Maps
- Taking and sharing photos on your device
- Facebook basics
- How to watch videos on YouTube
- Searching online for jobs
Please make sure your device is fully charged. (unless you are using one of the public access computers)
