Coochiemudlo Island Recreation Club

This free workshop is for Coochiemudlo Island residents aged 55 years or older, to help bridge the digital divide.Join in a social cup of tea or coffee and other light refreshments and learn to make the most of your smart device. Places are limited.Participants will need to bring their own device e.g. iPad, android tablet or smart phone. Free wi-fi will be available during the workshop.The digital divide has been acknowledged in Council’s <a href="https://www.redland.qld.gov.au/download/downloads/id/3957/redlands_coast_age-friendly_action_plan_2021-2026.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Redlands Coast Age-friendly Action Plan 2021-2026</a>. Many aspects of modern life have been transformed by the internet and digital technologies. However, people aged 65 and over are the least digitally included group and are often not able to access the many benefits that technology can bring. Council is proud to deliver this free workshop in partnership with <a href="https://www.starcommunityservices.org.au/aged-care-services/star-tech/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">STAR Community Services</a>. STAR’s experienced trainers will provide tailored support and guidance at the workshops.
