About
Weaving interprofessional competencies into uniprofessional curricula: An interprofessional education workshop.
Most if not all professional roles involve interprofessional team work. For students in the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences exposure to interprofessional education (IPE) is critical to enable effective collaboration in practice to improve patient outcomes. IPE occurs when two or more students from different health professions learn with, from and about each other. Creating opportunities for IPE activities to occur is challenging in crowded curricula. This workshop will provide opportunity for participants to experience some simple yet authentic activities that map to interprofessional competencies and have educational value in both uniprofessional and interdisciplinary settings.
