The Steepery Tea Co. is an online retailer of exceptional pure leaf tea and has been offering tea education workshops to the Brisbane tea community since 2015. We are excited to bring you an offering of tea education workshops under the umbrella ofourBrisbane (Australia) basedTea School.Each workshop aims to build and support your passion for tea by providing an in-depth exploration of the tea topic as well as developing practical skills to continue your tea learning. Anyone with an interest in tea will find these workshops interesting and beneficial allowing you to confidently take your tea appreciation to the next level.Our non-accredited tea instruction is brought to you by Kym Cooper, a tea specialist, and tea practitioner that lives and breathes tea every day. Kym is the owner of The Steepery Tea Co. and she is passionate about sharing her tea knowledge to bring a better understanding of pure leaf tea to the community. Kym has spent time visiting tea makers, growers and producers in a number of tea growing regions and places a huge emphasis on sourcing teas transparently from reliable and sustainable tea farms and estates.As with everything we do at The Steepery Tea Co. all of our focus is around pure leaf tea. Whilst we appreciate that the world of tea has many facets our main goal is to deliver accurate and high-quality educational material on true teas that allow you to understand and appreciate terms such as provenance, master craftsmanship, brewing parameters and tea service excellence.

One of the most important and interesting topics for tea practitioners is tea brewing. We are so pleased to be offering fellow tea enthusiasts an opportunity to look more closely at the way you prepare and brew tea.
This tea boot camp is designed to get you thinking about the parameters you control during the tea infusion. These include water, water temperature, leaf quality, leaf weight, infusion times and the tea brewing equipment.
During this hands-on and practical workshop you will have an opportunity to practice different infusion techniques (both western and eastern style) using traditional brewing vessels. We will comparatively taste the differences that different brewing parameters have on different styles of tea.
For the "water for tea" component of this workshop we are so pleased to have Danny Andrade, Product Development Manager for Di Bella Coffee and the Australian winner of the World Tea Brewing Championship. He also has many coffee accolades and a personal interest in water design for coffee. You will be given an introduction to water, water science and water design and how this can change and impact your tea experience.
We will also discuss the practical elements of brewing tea at home utilising equipment that you have on hand.
Whilst this is the fifth module in the Tea Foundations series for <A HREF="https://thesteepery.com.au/pages/tea-school" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Steepery Tea Co. Tea School" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Steepery Tea Co’s Tea School</A> it is open to anyone with an interest in getting the most from the tea you are preparing and drinking at home. It is particularly suitable to those who are familiarising themselves with true teas and those that have encountered some different styles and cultivars.
