Celebrate the fusion of Taiwanese heritage and Japanese influence in this hands-on workshop that offers an immersive look at a 90s immigrant success story and the culinary evolution of Taiwanese food culture. Your experience begins with a traditional tea ceremony and a refreshing welcome drink before you dive into the craft of preparing a range of authentic Taiwanese and Japanese dishes.

Under the expert guidance of Cristina, you will assemble your own gourmet bento box to enjoy at our communal dining table, with plenty of your hard work left to take home. This session promises a nostalgic and educational vibe, blending personal history with the joy of communal cooking.

MEET YOUR HOST - CRISTINA

As a registered teacher based in Melbourne, Cristina prides herself in creating engaging and safe spaces for learning new skills. Her Taiwanese-inspired cooking classes bring together her desire to showcase her Taiwanese culture with others, and her love of good food, cooking and doing so in an environmentally conscious way.

Cristina studied Food Nutrition and Health in Vancouver, where she grew up, and enjoys sharing her nutrition knowledge in all of her classes. But as a kid to two chef parents, it comes down to cooking food that you want to eat over and over again! Sign up to one of her classes, and you are guaranteed one (or 10) recipes that you'll add into your cooking repertoire straight away.
