A fun-filled interactive session for Tasmania Reads week with books, songs, rhymes and games for 3-5-year-olds and their caregivers. Siblings welcome, and everyone can stay for play until 11.00am.
This special Tasmania Reads Storytime will take place outside Mathers House, next to Hobart Library.
Reading is a free and fun family activity! Sharing books with your child helps develop their listening, memory and language skills.
Ages 2–5
No bookings required.
Parental/carer supervision required.
To help make a successful event:
- Don't come if you're unwell.
- Let us know if you can't come - we'll cancel your booking so others can register instead.
- By registering for a Libraries Tasmania event, you agree to follow our policies – including the Responsible Conduct Policy and Safeguarding Children Policy. Thank you for helping keep our spaces safe and respectful for everyone.
Accessibility details:
- Tell us if you need assistance or if you'll be accompanied by a support person.
- There are two designated mobility parking spaces next to the library, with a 2-hour parking limit.
- The library has a wheelchair accessible elevator.
- An accessible restroom is available.
- Parking is available in Melville Street, across the road from the Library.
