Event description
Should we try to shield our children from the reality of the climate crisis? How can we best respond to fears about the future?

About this Event

Should we support them when they want to join the school strike? These are among the questions that many parents and other adults have as the reality of climate change hits home. Please join us for an informative discussion and Q&A with Professor Ann Sanson and two year 10 students (Chrissy Downes and Romy O’Donoghue) exploring these issues.

Professor Ann Sanson is a developmental psychologist whose research has focused on understanding social and emotional development from infancy to adulthood. Her current work centres on the impact of the climate crisis on current and future generations of children. Ann is an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne.

This event is part of Yarra's response to the global climate emergency.
