Organiser Women's Health Grampians

Organiser of Taking Bystander Action Training

Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) is one of nine regional and three statewide women’s health services funded by the Department of Health and Human Services. With an office located in Ballarat, WHG is a community based women’s health organisation providing integrated health promotion to improve the health and well-being of women in the Grampians region. WHG focus at the population level and work to achieve healthy public policy, healthy environments (including culture, workplaces and schools) and improved service provision for women.

 The service is:

  • run by women and managed by women, and accountable to the women it serves; and
  • governed by an elected Board, comprising of women from the region

 Women’s Health Grampians has two priority areas:

  • The Prevention of Violence Against Women (including the Act@Work project) and
  • Improving access for women regarding information and services for sexual and reproductive health.
