Description

TACKLING THE TABOO: UNPACKING DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS IN AGED CARE

There are certain subjects in aged care that some still see as taboo – residents and families are uncomfortable raising them and health professionals may lack the confidence or training to successfully navigate them.

Tackling the Taboo: Unpacking Difficult Conversations in Aged Care brings together experts from fields like elder abuse, mental health, death and dying, and sex and intimacy to explore the topics some still shy away from and provide strategies to help health professionals negotiate the harder conversations that often need to be had in aged care.

The one day seminar will be held in a purpose-designed venue at News Corp’s head office at Surry Hills, Sydney – home of Australia’s leading multi-media news and lifestyle publishing brands (including The Australian and NewsLifeMedia) and the studios of Sky Business News.

Speaker line-up to be announced soon.
