Description

Sydney.Concepts.Westmead is an ongoing series of conversations between researchers across the depth
and breadth of the University of Sydney and colleagues from the Westmead precinct. These conversations
will cover exciting discoveries and innovations and are aimed at initiating new collaborative opportunities
between the university and the broader Westmead community. After the talks you are welcome to join the
presenters for a chat.

  • Friday 4 May: Scientists and the media: Promoting research and extending public health messages

    Speaker: Dr Cameron Webb is a Principal Hospital Scientist with NSW Health Pathology and Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney.


  • Friday 11 May: Choosing wisely ('do not do') recommendations are out, but how often do these practices occur?

    Speaker: Professor Adam Elshaug is Co-Director of the Menzies Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) at the University of Sydney


  • Friday 18 May: Designing for productive activity: the evolution of a tutor development program in a Business School

    Speaker: Stephanie Wilson is a lecturer and part of the Educational Innovation in Business team at the University of Sydney Business School


  • Friday 25 May: Technological innovations in lighting: what should we do with them?

    Speaker: Associate Professor Wendy Davis from the Illumination Design lab in the School of Architecture, Design and Planning, University of Sydney
