ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

LECH BLAINE

Lech Blaine is the author of Car Crash and two Quarterly Essay's: Top Blokes and Bad Cop. Car Crash was shortlisted for the 2022 National Biography Award. Lech is the current Charles Perkins Centre writer-in-residence at the University of Sydney. His work has been published in outlets such as Good Weekend, The Griffith Review, The Guardian and The Monthly.

NIKI SAVVA

Niki Savva is an author and columnist for the The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. She is a regular panellist on ABC's Insiders. She has written four books, beginning with So Greek. Her other three books, chronicling the coups and chaos which beset the Liberal Government – The Road to Ruin, which was awarded Non-fiction Book of the Year by the Australian Book Industry Awards, Plots and Prayers and Bulldozed – have all been best sellers.

MARGOT SAVILLE

Margot Saville practised as a lawyer for one year before becoming a journalist in the late 1980s. She is a freelance writer who has worked at The Australian, ABC Television, the Nine Television Network and is currently published in The Sydney Morning Herald and Crikey.
