Sydney TET Festival World Record Attempt
For the first time in Our History, the Vietnamese Community in Australia will be attempting Our First Guinness World Record on the Sunday.
The Nón Lá (the Vietnamese Conical Hat) is a proud embodiment of how the Vietnamese people hold a longstanding reputation as being extremely hardworking, both ancestorally and at present.
On the Sunday FEB 5, we will attempt to set the record for the:
Largest Gathering of People Wearing the Vietnamese Nón Lá (Asian Conical Hat).
It will be the finale of our three day festival and a great welcome to the New Year. We would love for families and friends to come enjoy what will be a buzzing atmosphere while soaking in the surrounding fumes of festival delicacies.
Please register yourself between 2PM to 5PM at the gates on SUNDAY FEB 5 and we'll provide you with your GWR Wristband and Non La.
The count will start at 5PM and yes, we will have an Official World Record Judge at the attempt.
In the interim, there will be live competition, live entertainment, lion dancing and a lot of FOOD stalls and trucks! We will be running a Pho Eating competition between 2-5PM and rides will be available as well.
