Swing Dancing

ANU Sport & Recreation Association provides a wide range of sporting, fitness and recreation opportunities for ANU students,members and the general public to enjoy. We understand that sport, fitness, physical activity and recreation complement your academic and employment endeavours and enhance your University and community experience.

ANU Sport

Over this 5 week course, you will be introduced to a variety of dances and rhythms of swing, always teaching the basics from scratch in the first 10 mins to ensure everyone is on the same page. You will learn a variety of Lindy Hop and Charlston steps.  
Our teaching style will  allow you to progress comfortably and consistently while trying different styles and shapes. Jump on in and get dancing within the first hour! 
This short course runs for 5 weeks between the 5th of March and 2nd of April, every Tuesday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
Ticket Types:
ANU Student: to be eligible for this ticket type you must be able to prove you are a current student of the ANU.
General Admission: Anyone who is not a student of the ANU and is 16 years or older.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
If you are an ANU Student and have purchased an ANU Student ticket, please have your valid ANU Student ID available for inspection at the start of the first class.
Participants must be 16 years and over to participate.
 
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Free parking is available on campus, 1-2 minutes walk from Building 19. 
Bus routes 300 and 7 have stops close-by.
Bicycle racks are located outside Building 19. Please BYO lock.
More details will be provided upon booking.
 
What can I bring into the event?
A bottle of water if desired.

What's the refund policy?
Refunds will be available until 24 hours before the start of the course.
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. If you are unable to print your ticket, please have it available on your mobile phone.
If you are an ANU Student and have purchased an ANU Student ticket, please have your valid ANU Student ID available for inspection at the start of the first class.
 
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. Please send an email to <A HREF="mailto:sport@anu-sport.com.au" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">sport@anu-sport.com.au</A> detailing your current booking and the changes that need to be made.
 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
No.
