No Worries Writing Workshops: Start with a Scene, with Eleanor Limprecht
Scenes are the building blocks of story whether fiction or memoir, novels or short stories. In this workshop you’ll learn how to write scenes that will invigorate your writing. We will discuss perspective, dialogue, characterisation, action and detail. We will practice writing scenes which are immersive and alive.
Eleanor Limprecht is the author of four novels: The Coast, The Passengers, Long Bay and What Was Left. Her short fiction and essays have been published various places including Best Australian Stories, Meanjin, The Griffith Review, The Saturday Paper, Kill Your Darlings and The Big Issue. She’s been shortlisted for the ALS Gold Medal and the recipient of grants, scholarships and fellowships from various places including the Australian Society of Authors Blake-Beckett Trust. Eleanor has a Doctorate in Creative Writing from UTS, lectured in Creative Writing at UTS and currently teaches at the Faber Academy.

This workshop will be hosted in the Sans Souci Literary Institute, an historic building in the heart of Southern Sydney.

The closest Train Station is Kogarah and a short 15 minute bus ride along Rocky Point Road on either the the 477 or 947 bus routes will take you to the corner of Ramsgate Road and Rocky Point Road, a 30 second walk away from the Institute.

There is ample street parking available in the surrounding streets.
