Sustainable Campus Tour – Sydney Climate Action Week
As part of Sydney Climate Action Week, join this guided walking tour to discover how change happens locally on our campus.
Guided by the Environmental Sustainability Team, this tour highlights the practical ways UNSW is reducing its environmental impact and supporting a net-zero future. From renewable energy infrastructure to, waste and recycling systems, bike facilities, water refill stations, community gardens, and student‑led initiatives, you’ll see firsthand how sustainability comes to life on campus.
In one hour, you will:
· explore key sustainability features across Kensington campus,
· learn practical tips for living and working more sustainably at UNSW,
· connect with peers and colleagues who share an interest in climate action,
· discover how campus initiatives contribute to Climate Action Week Sydney’s theme: Change happens locally.
All participants receive a free reusable cutlery set as a thank-you for joining and supporting a more sustainable campus.
Accessibility:
The tour involves approximately 45 minutes of walking. Stairs can be avoided, and adjustments are available to ensure everyone can participate. If you have accessibility or support requirements, please contact us at sustainability@unsw.edu.au before the event.
Open to all UNSW students and staff.
This event supports UNSW’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- SDG 13 – Climate Action
- SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals
